It's amazing what thousand's of years of running water can do with sandstone. Zion National Park is a southwest Utah nature preserve distinguished steep red cliffs. Zion Canyon Scenic Drive cuts through its main section, leading to trails along the Virgin River. The river flows to the Emerald Pools, which have waterfalls and a hanging garden. Also along the river, partly through deep chasms, is Zion Narrows wading hike. Zion National Park is one of Utah's most visited parks and is the backdrop of Apple Valley UT.
Much of the outdoor recreation in Apple Valley is with Zion National Park in it's views. ATV's and biking is not allowed in the park yet just a few miles away, Apple Valley has many of the areas best ATV and biking trails which include the breath taking views of Zion National Park.
